வயல்களுக்குத் தண்ணீர் கொண்டு செல்வதற்காக கால்வாய்கள் வெட்டப்படுகின்றன.

போக்குவரத்து:

கடற்பகுதிகள், ஆற்றுப் பகுதிகள், ஏரிப் பகுதிகளை இணைத்து, கப்பல் போக்குவரத்துக்குப் பயன்படும் கால்வாய்கள் உள்ளன.

சான்றாக:

சுவெஸ் கால்வாய் மத்தியதரைக் கடலையும் செங்கடலையும் இணைக்கிறது.

குருவும் கெழுவும் நிறன் ஆகும்மே" -

குல் → குழு → கெழு.]

குரு (குரு): தலைமை, மேன்மை, சிறப்பு, ஒளி போன்ற பல பொருள்களைத் தரும் சொல்.

கெழு (கெழு): மிக்க, அழகு, அச்சம் போன்ற பொருள்களைத் தரும் சொல்.

நிறன் (நிறன்): நிறம்.
